Stress!

Hi everybody! today I will write about a psychological condition, this is stress. Why I want to talk about it? Because is a experience that most of people have lived sometime in his life and for this days I think that this affects me a little.

About of this condition, experts says that stress is a notion or concept known to all, but in a lot of cases poorly understood. But, to explain the stress in a simple form the example of the bridge can help us.    In this way, if we are a bridge, in several opportunities can arrive a wind to move us and the structure of the bridge begins to be unstable, but if the wind is too strong, more than the normal, the structure starts to be damaged or even can reach collapse. The wind symbolized the stress, the summary of things that generate this; troubles, homework, obligations, etc.

About the effects of stress in out body is a sum of threatens that can turn out to be important or wound illness like hormonal problems, the raise of heart rate, respiration problems, headache, etc. The worst of this is stress can result in mental problems or illness like anxious or depression.

Finally, about a ways to dismiss the effect of stress in our life and don’t permit it is change the form to deal with some situations, empower ourselves about the hostile things of life. This tips are (the “re” words xd): Reorganize, rethink, reduce, relax and release. (for read more you can click here http://psychcentral.com/lib/5-ways-to-stress-less//)

Blog Help!

I recently finish a book I have wanted to read for a while. It is called Vicious, it was written by an American author named Victoria Schwab and it was published in 2013. I read it in English because it has not been translated to Spanish yet and I could not wait so I thought I´ll try to read it on its original language and I could.

It´s a fantasy novel about two friends in college that learn how to get supernatural powers but later become archenemies. It starts in the middle of the story and is continuously going ford and back (WO) in time (P) until you get to the event that changes everything. In every chapter you´ll get all these pieces of information that you may not understand completely in the moment (P) but it will make more sense the further you read. So in the past you´ll see these two roommates, best friends, and their life in college and in the present you´ll see them trying to haunt each other. The two main characters have really interesting personalities and their interactions as best friends are as interesting as their interactions as archenemies.

*going back and ford
*in time, until you get to the event
*in the moment, but it will make more sense

I enjoyed it very much, I didn´t want to stop reading and I was really sad when it ended. I think reading it again, now knowing everything that happened, will be a really different experience than the first time. I can´t wait.

Bosque Quemado

Hi everybody!

Today I’m going to talk about a book that I reading at the moment, this book is called “Bosque Quemado” of Roberto Brodsky a chilean writer and screenwriter. This book is a novel, specifically a autobiographical novel of 2008.

I started reading it because a friend recommended, she was my mate and friends when I study literature, she always recommends me books and movies. Erika (my fiends) used this book for his thesis and someday in his house she shows me the book and said: you must to read this!

Back to home I started reading it on the bus and I read 40 pages in no time and loved.  The book tells about the Chilean exile and how a family is divided for this reason.  But is not only about exile, because the story be interconnected with divorces, adultery, clandestine loves, distances, returns and the slow and painful death of his father  for Alzheimer. Almost everything is a metaphor about a burned forest (Bosque Quemado) in the mind of narrator, the main character and the author who is recognized as this character.

Finally, I leave you with one of my favorite quotes is from this book:

"Busco desaparecer entre las frases, fundirme en el anonimato de una imagen y atrapar la luz que cuelga del cielo en violento contraste con la confusión incorregible que llevo cosida al pecho, inmovilizado detrás de un cristal opaco y duro que se enloza con los días"

happyhappy

Hi, I'm going to talk about my feelings today!
I'm very very happy because I have several reasons that make me feel this.

Firstly, because in the last time I could share and enjoy with different people and friends, this year I've know a lot persons and it has been nice, I've learn of each one and I share with they in different contexts.

Also, this year I've doing class to workers in other campus of the university, this activity fill my heart, when we learn in group; I of her and her of me. Now with very time between us, can talk familiarly and forget the typical space teacher-student. Every wednesday is beauty because this.

Lately, I've started to know about jazz and this style of music brings me sometimes calm, excitement, happiness, attitude to reflect, etc. I love find new bands, some that I know recently are Snarky Puppy, Brad Mehldau & Mark Guiliana (Mehliana), Hermeto Pascoal, Esperanza Spalding, Marcus Miller, etc. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_XJ_s5IsQc]

This last time I had little time to ready different stuffs or watching movies, but if I went to the theater...custom that I don't want lost.
Well, the theater, in my opinión, is an activity very expensive, but in occasions appear a free play or always exists a student discount. Returning to the topic, the theater is amazing, I believe that the Greeks says about the catharsis, actually clear and purge the feelings!

Finally, I've been involved in a university project  that moves me to work and think in new forms to build community with teachers, neighbor, workers, etc. I have more than 240 words, but I lend the link if you want know https://www.facebook.com/ManosaLaObraUCh/

Bye!

Jean Paul Sartre

Hi everybody!

Today I'm going to talk about a person that I admire a lot, this is Jean Paul Sartre. Only with say that he was a philosopher, writer, novelist, dramatist and literary critic, also was exponent of existencialism and humanist marxism...seems like we talk about a complete person.

My closeness to Jean Paul Sartre was when I study in high school, there a classmate speak in a presentation about he. Her presentation attract my attention and I started to search about Sartre. His biography makes motivate me to read a novel "La Nausea", in this moment I loved it (this was on 2006 aproximately).

Other reason because calls my attention is that he was married with Simone de Beauvoir, a person that I admire too; a philosopher, teacher, writer and a key woman in the history of feminism. (I can't continue without a quote that I love of Beauvoir about the Sartre's death: "His death separate us. My death will not bring us together. that is; is too beautiful that out lives have been together for so long"

Also, other thing that makes me love Sartre is the reasons because he refuses the Nobel Prize on 1964.

To be or not to be

Like many thursdays in the year, today is a march day. I think that the majority of us knows about the march routine; get together to central point (generally, Plaza Italia), look for the banner of the faculty, waiting for start...begins the walk, when the route is over the police arrive and start the resistance.
However, this event in the day is not only the routine described earlier in the text, also represent the massive discontent of many students. This event force us to put several beliefs in tension, some people believe that go to march is a deteriorated mechanism and we need new ideas, others think that fight has to be on the street, or that the student movement no longer exists, etc.
I think that the marchs have become routine, but is necessary remember the disputes sometimes, because the student demands still alive. Personally, after Revolución Pingüina or 2011 left something important as lesson, and I believe this lesson is different for everyone. My reflection after this years has been that everyone discover a cause for work or fight, can be the university education, work with high school students, work with employees, teach in neighborhood, etc. I think that go to march is necessary to remember and feel the power of union, but at present I don't know if this is the only way in the demands of student movement.
